Basic Counselling Course

Family Life Society provides counselling education and training for volunteers who wish to serve as counsellors in their respective parishes. The Basic Counselling Course is conducted by certified clinicians and lecturers. Our objective is to nurture and grow the number of counsellors from the parishes in order to engage those in need of help at the grassroots level.

The training programme aims to equip volunteers with the necessary soft skills and knowledge to perform their roles as Para-counsellors and to serve effectively in their respective communities. Upon successful completion of the training, these Para-counsellors will be deployed to various parishes across Singapore to journey and provide a listening ear to everybody in need.
