Celebrate Life! The Workshop
CelebrateLife! The Workshop is an experiential workshop designed to develop one’s awareness of the truth of one’s humanity and sexuality. Targeted at youths or young adults (14 years and above), it aims to enable them to understand the values of chastity, morality and the natural moral law.
Facilitated by experienced trainers from the Family Life Society’s Celebration of Life programme, this four (4) hour workshop is secular and sensitive to the multi-religious and multi-cultural context of Singapore. It is specially designed to complement the “Growing Years Programme” by the Ministry of Education. Through videos, interactive activities, games and awareness exercises, students develop a greater awareness of the choices they face, especially in the areas of sexuality and the sanctity of life. How is the Workshop conducted?Participants are led through various topics through interactive exercises and activities, video clips, games, journalizing, visualizations, etc to help them experience the truth of their humanity, sexuality and the sanctity of life. This workshop on Character Education, Moral Reasoning and Human Sexuality attempts to help one to be more aware of the cognitive or learning process, and suggests how we could be functioning more optimally today. Unless we become critical thinkers and lifelong learners and understand the need for a coherent and rational framework to evaluate the massive inputs the information age has presented us with, we will be ill prepared to manage the many challenges modern life has to offer.
