Supporting parents to engage in important but often difficult conversations — including sexuality, identity, mental wellness and relationships — so they can accompany their teens with confidence, clarity and care.
Speakers:
Fr David Garcia, OP
Fr David Garcia, OP has been a Dominican Friar for 40 years, serving in Singapore since 2000. He lectures in Moral Theology at the Major Seminary and the Catholic Theological Institute of Singapore, and is a sought-after speaker on family life, social justice, and bioethics. He is also a regular speaker for Caritas Singapore, presenting My Personal Moral Compass , as well as talks on Catholic Social Teaching that explore how faith can be lived out in daily life.
Nicholas Gabriel Lim
Nicholas is a registered psychologist with over 20 years of experience and now a trained lawyer. His work is informed by neuroscience and spans the charity, private, public, and academic sectors.
Currently with the Singapore University of Social Sciences, he continues to see clients and supervise psychologists in practice. Nicholas also advises mental health initiatives and has served on national councils, including the Media Literacy Council and the National Council on Problem Gambling.
He is now on the National Council Against Drug Abuse, and recently reappointed to the Panel of Advisors for the third term at the Singapore Youth Court. He is married with three children.
